Drones with 5K camera

— drones can shoot video at higher resolutions than Ultra HD 4K.The specific capabilities of such devices can vary. Not long ago, the maximum for them was the Ultra HD 5K standard, which provides resolutions from 5280x2972 to 5472x3078. However, now you can find drones capable of operating with the 8K standard (specifically, a resolution of 7680x4320).
Nevertheless, support for Ultra HD video (5K) and above is an unmistakable sign of a high-end device with advanced shooting capabilities. On the other hand, these features come at a high cost, and for full viewing of the captured material, screens of the corresponding resolutions are required. Moreover, the frame rate when shooting in these standards usually does not exceed 24 fps — this is the minimum level that allows the viewing of the resulting video without the "slideshow effect," but no special smoothness and image refinement can be mentioned. Furthermore, support for a higher frame rate is currently unjustifiably expensive and not used in drones, although a change in this situation can be expected in the future.
It is worth mentioning the professional use of drones in this category separately. In general, high resolutions can be very useful for aerial observation, broadcasting various events, professional shooting of documentaries and artistic videos, etc. However, in practice, for such tasks, it is often more convenient and reasonable to use a heavy industrial (see "Type") drone with a gimbal on which a professional DSLR or video camera can be mounted. This equipment often provides higher shooting quality than a compact built-in (or kit) drone "eye," and the user's capabilities are broader — for example, different lenses can be used on the camera, selecting optics based on the specifics of a particular situation, or even installing different cameras on the drone. Therefore, in our time, 5K or 8K support can only be found in certain small-sized devices. Such models make sense to purchase in cases where maneuverability and speed are as important to you as high video resolution — for example, for shooting aerial races on the same quadcopters.
