Cutaway acoustic guitars
— the presence on the guitar deck of a special cutaway (cutaway) in the area of the upper frets of the neck. Thanks to the cutout, the guitarist can easily reach higher (closer to the bridge) frets than on a similar instrument without a cutout. But if you don’t plan to play above the 12th fret, it’s better to pay attention to instruments without a cutout — it is believed that cutaway can somewhat worsen the acoustic characteristics (although everything is very subjective here, besides, it largely depends on the characteristics of a particular instrument).
