Guitar dreadnoughts
prices on 34 models— massive cases with angular outlines, the shape closest to a rectangle (although, of course, the "eight" with a characteristic "waist" is still the basis). Dreadnoughts originally gained popularity in country music, but they are now used in a wide variety of styles of music. Anyway, such guitars are primarily "chord" specialization: they give out a rich, roaring sound with a noticeable proportion of bass, which is very convenient for accompaniment, but is somewhat less suitable for solo parts.
Note that the words "dreadnought" and "western" can be used interchangeably, although sometimes "western" refers only to cutout guitars (see "Advanced").
