One of Fender's latest trends is the desire to produce high quality instruments at a more affordable price point for a wide range of customers. The CC-140SCE fits in well with this trend, satisfying both conditions. Briefly, they say something like this: "Superb affordable versatility in a traditional design."

Construction and materials

The guitar belongs to the “grand concert” class, that is, it has a thinner and more elegant body than a dreadnought or jumbo, so that it is convenient to play standing up. The sides and back are laminated with rosewood, while the top is made from a single piece of spruce and protected by a red mother-of-pearl pickguard. From the inside, the structure is reinforced with stiffening ribs in the shape of the letter “X”, which, together with a double anchor, allows you to be calm, both for the overall strength of the instrument and for the stability of the system. The neck won't sag or bulge like a prop, even though it has a thin Easy-to-play profile for a more comfortable playing experience.

Electronics

The guitar is equipped with a Fishman Presys Pickup system with a built-in tuner and preamp. In general, the combination is very successful and perfectly transforms the acoustic sound of the guitar into "electricity". The preamp provides a 3-band equalizer, which expands the possibilities of timbre coloring.

The model has a clean accented sound with a good frequency balance with a little high-pitched — classic Fender "sand", and when connected to a combo amplifier, it sounds as juicy and rich as it is "live".
