However, professional guitarists may use more specific tuning options. This instrument is mainly used for rhythmic accompaniment: paired strings are inconvenient for solos but provide a very rich sound in chords and are excellent for accompaniment. It is also worth noting that within one pair, strings made of different materials can be used, giving the sound a unique timbre.
