Multiple microphones

— the presence of several built-in microphones in the camera — most often two, but there are also more. The specific application of this feature can vary: it is not uncommon for microphones to work in parallel to record stereo or even multi-channel surround sound (the latter is especially true for 360-degree cameras, see "Type"). In addition, some noise reduction systems (see “Recording Options”) provide an auxiliary microphone. All these details should be clarified in each case separately, however, the presence of several microphones definitely means extended possibilities for working with sound.
