Larger image sensor
The 5th-generation camera features a significantly larger image sensor — increased from 1/2" to 1/1.28". The larger sensor captures more light, improving image quality in low-light conditions. A dedicated PureVideo mode is available for shooting in the dark, with enhanced noise reduction and dynamic range optimization. It allows video recording in all available resolutions, but at up to 30 fps.
High resolutions
The camera supports video recording at resolutions up to 8K. In 5.7K format, the frame rate reaches 60 fps, while in 4K it reaches 100 fps. The model allows you to shoot both regular videos and 360° panoramic footage. A special InstaFrame mode is provided for this. Recorded footage can be edited manually or using AI algorithms in the proprietary Insta360 app.
Advanced features
A system of three AI chips handles image processing and noise reduction. Active HDR is supported when shooting in 5.7K, while proprietary FlowState stabilization ensures smooth video. The camera features replaceable optics, so damaged lenses can be replaced with new ones. The body's waterproof rating has been increased from 5 to 15 m, and a full battery charge usually lasts for around 3 hours of video recording.
