G-clamps

G-clamp

— the simplest type of clamps (see "Type"). It consists of a frame in the form of the letter "C", in which one "horn" plays the role of a fixed sponge, and on the second there is a clamping mechanism (usually screw, see "Compression mechanism") with a movable stop. Such models are simple and at the same time quite reliable and functional. Of their shortcomings, one can only note the limited width of the clamp — it cannot be greater than the width of the frame.
