Knives with frame lock
Frame lock
— a modified version of the liner lock (see the relevant paragraph): the role of the locking plate is played not by the liner installed inside the handle, but by part of the handle itself. This part is usually much thicker than the liner-lock plate and has less chance of accidental shifting, making this type of lock considered more secure. Also, the advantages of a frame lock include a rather interesting and stylish appearance: knives with such locks are mostly all-metal, without overlays on the handle; and models with overlays look different from knives with other types of locks.frame lock | clear | Save List |
