Emergency stop key
— the key allows you to urgently stop the treadmill if the user stumbles or loses control of the belt speed. In this case, the drive of the treadmill stops in a fully automatic mode. The key itself consists of a magnetic contact group, a connecting cable and a clothespin. As you know, the magnet is fixed on the front surface of the control panel, and the clothespin is fastened to the user's clothing (most often to the edge of a T-shirt or a belt). The length of the cable does not exceed 1 metre. When the user loses balance, the taut cable is removed by the magnet, thereby stopping the movement of the treadmill. The closest alternative to a key is the emergency stop button. Some models of treadmills are equipped with both a key and an emergency stop button.
