— the most automated type of lawn mowers: in fact, it is enough to set a programme for such a machine, release it onto the site and press the start button — the robot will do the rest. The simplest models use random path movement and obstacle sensors, more advanced models can use a full-fledged mapping system (see "Functions") and even "smart" grass height recognition and "remembering" the passed sections. Robots are usually able to return to the charging station on their own; some models may even include solar panels to save energy and increase battery life.
