The robotic lawnmower, designed for tending larger grass lawns with an area of up to 4000 m² (1 acre). The Husqvarna AUTOMOWER 420 iQ robotic lawnmower can operate with a physical boundary in the form of a special cable laid around the perimeter of the lawn, or without it. In the latter case, a GPS satellite navigation system is used with an auxiliary device — the EPOS station (included in the package), providing positioning accuracy up to 2 cm.

To navigate around obstacles that may appear in its path, the device is equipped with an ultrasonic sensor. Moving across the lawn in a fully automatic mode, the robot trims vegetation using a rotary cutting system with a diameter of 24 cm. The grass cutting height is adjustable in the range of 25 to 100 mm. The user can divide the area into several zones (up to 5) and set individual mowing schedules for each of them. The robot can be configured using buttons on the control panel or via a smartphone with a special application installed.
