Brushless motor
— a special kind of electric motors that has more advanced characteristics than classic motors with brushes (collector). The main advantage of such units is high efficiency, that is, lower energy consumption with the same useful power. This is especially important for cordless tools (see "Power"); in fact, it is in such models that brushless motors are mainly used. Also, one of the advantages of this option is the low noise level and the absence of sparks in the engine — the latter is especially useful in fire hazardous conditions. On the other hand, brushless motors are noticeably more expensive than collector motors, and also more difficult to repair.| brushless motor | clear | Save List |
