— the presence in the media player of its own built-in storage. In this case, a drive is a certain amount of permanent memory that is not occupied by the main firmware and is available for writing and deleting data at the request of the user. Some time ago, such memory was built-in hard drives of a fairly solid volume, allowing you to store vast collections of videos, music and other content. However, nowadays, the specifics of the use of built-in drives are somewhat different: most often these are SSD solid-state modules installed in devices running Android (see "Features or Features") or another full-fledged OS (for example, tvOS from Apple). Such modules have relatively small volumes and are intended mainly for additional applications, relatively small media files like music or video, in extreme cases, for temporary storage of several high-resolution movies. If you want to use the media centre for permanent storage of an extensive video collection, you should pay attention to models where the built-in storage is complemented by an HDD pocket (see the relevant paragraph).
