LAN connector

— standard network connector for wired connection to a local area network and/or the Internet. Accordingly, the presence of such a port is guaranteed to support one or another set of Internet functions, and most often also DLNA (see "Internet Services", "Functions and Capabilities").

A wired connection is not as convenient as Wi-Fi (see the relevant paragraph) due to the need to run a cable. On the other hand, such a connection is less susceptible to interference, allows you to achieve a higher actual data transfer rate and does not lose this speed when there are other network devices nearby. Thus, such connectors are no less popular today than Wi-Fi modules; only compact adapters are not equipped with a LAN interface — these ports are too bulky for them.
