Huawei's showcase and the company's only tablet series that it continues to update annually. After all, for the M and T lines, Chinese engineers have not come up with anything new since 2018. Such attention is due to the fact that the Mate series includes flagship tablets that do not hesitate to flex their muscles even in the company of new iPad models.

When creating these devices, usually, all the advanced developments of the company that are used in Mate and P smartphones are used: flagship Kirin chips, advanced camera modules, acoustics from Harman Kardon, wireless charging, etc. Unlike Mate and P smartphones, P, you can add an M-Pencil stylus and a keyboard and touchpad case to Mate tablets to help you use your tablet as a mini laptop. However, they are not included in the kit and are sold separately.

In 2021, Huawei released three tablets at once in different price categories: the children's MatePad T10, the standard MatePad 11 with a 120Hz matrix, the powerful MatePad Pro with a 10.8-inch display and a Qualcomm processor, and, finally, the MatePad Pro almost laptop with a screen size of 12.6". They all run Harmony OS and don't support Google services like most recent Huawei products. Instead, the company offers Huawei Mobile Services and its own AppGallery store.
