— screens with a resolution approximately equivalent to HD video — 1280x720. Strictly speaking, this category includes all displays whose height (smaller size) lies in the range from 720 to 900 pixels. The horizontal size of such screens can range from 1024 to 1440 pixels.

In general, HD resolutions are considered relatively low for modern tablets, and therefore they are found mainly in entry-level and inexpensive mid-range models. Nevertheless, even these characteristics provide quite good detail, especially in small screen sizes.
