— a special facial recognition technology that works not just by taking a photo, but by building a 3D model of the face using data from a special module on the front panel. This technology is constantly improving and nowadays it can account for changes in hairstyle, facial hair, the presence of glasses, makeup, and so on. However, it still struggles with recognizing twins and children's faces (as they have fewer unique features compared to adults). The primary use of the face scanner is for authentication when unlocking the tablet, logging into apps, making payments, etc. However, there are also other, more creative uses. For example, in some applications, the face scanner reads the user's facial expressions, which are then mimicked by an avatar on the screen.
