— screens with a resolution approximately corresponding to a Full HD video frame — 1920x1080. Formally, this category includes matrices with a size on the smaller side from 1080 to 1280 pixels; the size on the larger side, depending on the aspect ratio, can be from 1600 to 1920 pixels.

Full HD screens are superior to HD matrices in terms of image quality, however, they are more expensive, and therefore they are installed mainly in mid-range and top-end tablets. However, thanks to the development and reduction in the cost of technology, such displays can increasingly be found in low-cost devices.
