The successor to the 2018 Microsoft Surface Go is still positioned as a low-cost tablet running Windows 10 Home in S mode, and a 2-in-1 device that transforms from tablet to laptop at any time. To do this, additional accessories will come to the rescue, including a mouse, a Surface Pen stylus and a convenient book case that acts as a stand for using the gadget in landscape orientation.
The basic version received an Intel Pentium Gold 4425Y processor and 4/64 GB of memory with the ability to expand storage using a memory card. The screen of Microsoft Surface Go 2 has increased to 10.5", it is an IPS panel with a resolution of 1920x1280 pixels, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and framed by frames that are not too thin, but still smaller compared to the first Microsoft Surface Go. The case is made of durable magnesium alloy, but the tablet is not too bulky and weighty: its dimensions are 245x175x8.3 mm, and the weight is just over 540 g. The manufacturer also claims authentication using Windows Hello, 8 MP main and 5 MP front camera , two speakers with Dolby Audio support and up to 10 hours of battery life on a single battery charge.

The tablet comes with a keyboard case from the first generation Surface Go, together with which it transforms into a small entry-level laptop. Separate pluses in the karma of the model go for the Windows Hello authentication system, front stereo speakers, an LTE module and a symmetrical USB-C charging port. The tablet is positioned as an affordable solution on Windows from the Microsoft guard, where devices from the top Surface Pro series run the show.
