— tablet supports Bluetooth version 5 – that is, 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3.Bluetooth technology is designed for direct wireless communication between different devices; it is used, in particular, to connect wireless headphones and headsets, to connect with accessories like fitness trackers, and to share files. 5.0 version was introduced in 2016, and the main updates implemented in it relate primarily to working with the Internet of Things. So, in the Bluetooth Low Energy protocol, it became possible to double the data transfer rate (up to 2 Mbps) at the cost of reducing the range, as well as quadruple the range at the cost of reducing the speed; in addition, a number of improvements have been introduced regarding the work with a large number of simultaneously connected devices. All this allowed, among other things, to optimize the work with various components of the "smart home".
As for 5.1 version, in addition to further general improvements, such an interesting feature was implemented as determining the direction from which the Bluetooth signal comes. This can be very convenient when searching for various accessories, especially miniature ones – for example, Bluetooth headphones in the true wireless format.
The main innovations in 5.2 version are a number of security improvements, additional power optimization in LE mode, and a new audio signal format for synchronizing parallel playback on multiple devices.
Bluetooth v 5.3 was introduced at the beginning of 2022. Among the innovations, it accelerated the process of coordination the communication channel between the controller and the device, implemented the function of quickly switching between the state of operation in a small duty cycle and high-speed mode, improved the throughput and stability of the connection by reducing the susceptibility to interference. In case of unexpected interference in the Low Energy mode of operation, the procedure for selecting a communication channel for switching is now accelerated. There are no fundamental innovations in 5.3 protocol, but a number of qualitative improvements are seen in it.
