X86 tablets
X86 architecture
— tablets with processors based on the x86 architecture. In general, the architecture can be described as a general scheme of the processor device. In modern consumer electronics, there are mainly two architectures — ARM and x86. The first was created specifically for portable devices, it is used, including in most tablets; ARM processors are tiny, power efficient, and generate little heat, but they don't differ in power. In turn, x86 was originally intended for PCs and laptops, and only relatively recently began to be used in more compact devices. Such processors are more expensive and high consumption than ARM, however, they are also more performant; in addition, they allow you to install full-fledged desktop operating systems like Windows 10 on tablets without much difficulty.
Thus, the presence of an x86 chip is usually a sign of a fairly advanced device, designed mainly for professional use. Most of these devices work just under Windows, but there are models for Android and iOS.
