Thanks to this, they are easy to install, and if adjustments are needed for optimal sound, such a device can be moved almost freely throughout the room. The vast majority of modern subwoofers belong to this type.

It is worth considering that we are talking specifically about installation on the floor - such models usually are not suitable for placement on shelves due to their acoustic properties.
