Linear array, in accordance with the name, consists of several speakers (usually of different frequencies, not only subwoofers), arranged in a row — more precisely, in a column, vertically. The design of such subwoofers is designed to ensure that, with the installation described, the power of all speakers is summed up in an optimal way, which allows you to achieve the necessary “range” and sound saturation.
