— analogue input for connecting a filtered low-frequency signal — in other words, it is to this connector that you need to connect the “subwoofer” output on an amplifier or other sound source. The LFE input is designed for a preamplifier signal and is installed only in active subwoofers (see "Type"). Note that even models with a built-in frequency filter (crossover) can have an LFE input; the signal from it goes directly to the subwoofer amplifier, bypassing the built-in filter. This allows you to work with an external crossover if necessary.
