As part of the Flare series, the Taiwanese brand G.Skill produces moderately fast and at the same time affordable RAM designed for the AMD platform. We are talking about motherboards with AM4 and AM5 processor sockets, as well as old and new generations of AMD A, Athlon and Ryzen processors. And instead of the usual XMP technology with pre-selected settings for frequency, timing and voltage, an alternative development from AMD called EXPO is used here.

Initially, DDR4 memory sticks with a jagged metal radiator, somewhat reminiscent of the Decepticon design, were released under the Flare flag. For the most part, these are single or paired modules with a total memory capacity of 8 to 32 GB. Despite its positioning as an overclocker memory, Flare memory is most often presented in versions with frequencies of 2133, 2400, 2666 and 3200 MHz. Planks with frequencies of 3600 MHz and higher are not found here.

In 2022-2023, G.Skill announced an update to the Flare series based on fifth-generation RAM. Compared to its predecessors, Flare DDR5 modules offer higher data transfer rates, lower power consumption and higher throughput. They are also designed to work with the next generation of AMD EXPO technology, which helps to quickly configure and optimize the installed memory kit. As part of the relaunch, Taiwanese designers have completely redesigned the radiator design, making it more neat and discreet.
