Unlike the varied enthusiast and gamer RAM modules in the Vengeance and Dominator series, Corsair's ValueSelect line includes mostly affordable RAM of a wide variety of flavors. It is great for solving a wide range of not too complex everyday tasks such as browsing, working with tables and text documents. The manufacturer notes that it will appeal to thrifty users who do not like to overpay for secondary and less useful functions. For serious work and play, Corsair recommends paying attention to the Vengeance and Dominator series modules.

The key advantage of the ValueSelect series is its affordable pricing and wealth of choice. Despite the fact that DDR5 memory is gradually taking over the market, ValueSelect remains one of the rare RAM lines in which you can equally often find both classic DIMM memory modules and laptop SO-DIMM format sticks. This is also a rare family by the standards of 2024, in which you can still freely purchase DDR3 strips that have become a rarity.

The series is based on classic ValueSelect DDR3 and ValueSelect DDR4 modules with capacities of 4, 8 and 16 GB. For convenience, they can be sold in the format of single or paired modules operating in single-channel or dual-channel mode. Considering the positioning of the series, it is most often represented by versions with frequencies of 2133, 2400 and 2666 MHz. Planks with frequencies of 3200 MHz and higher are not found here. However, this does not mean that experienced users will not be able to overclock it slightly by playing with voltage and latency. Moreover, almost all representatives of this line are covered with a small and thin radiator with the series logo.
