For such connectors, the UPS can work as a filter, but when the mains voltage fails, they also de-energize. Non-redundant connectors are used to connect electronics for which a sudden power outage is not critical — for example, printers, additional monitors, etc. In the event of a power failure, they turn off and do not consume battery power, which increases the battery life of the UPS.
