Bypass
— when operating in bypass mode, the load connected to the UPS is powered directly from the mains, and the UPS itself is actually nothing more than a piece of wire, without making any significant changes to the current characteristics. The bypass can be activated both automatically and manually. The first option is used as a protection measure — if the UPS in normal mode cannot provide the required current characteristics (for example, due to overload), the bypass is turned on.
