Smart UPS
Smart
— such UPSs serve not only as a safety net in case of a critical voltage change, but also to compensate for relatively small changes (usually up to a couple of tens of volts). They are equipped with autotransformers and control circuits, which, when the voltage fluctuates in the operating range, compensate for these changes, outputting a constant voltage to the load; when leaving the operating range, the load is switched to the battery. As well as backup devices, such devices mostly have low power and are designed to power electronics within one workplace; the difference is that interactive UPSs are much better suited for networks with unstable voltage.Show
