UPS with AGM battery
AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat)
— an advanced type of lead-acid battery with the electrolyte in an absorbed state: the compartments of such a battery are filled with a porous material that contains the acid. The battery casing is sealed, making AGM models maintenance-free. This technology is the most popular in batteries for UPS, as it is ideally suited for batteries operating in standby mode (where they discharge rarely and usually only slightly). Additionally, it provides a long service life and is relatively inexpensive. However, the disadvantages of this option include the inability to replenish the electrolyte if it leaks and poor tolerance to overcharging (although the latter becomes irrelevant with a quality power controller).AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) | clear | Save List |
