RGB LED

— a variety of LCD televisions with backlighting on individual red (R), green (G), and blue (B) LEDs instead of the traditional one-color backlighting. This technology allows for more precise control over the brightness and color of individual screen zones, improving color gamut, contrast, and local dimming efficiency. For example, it can produce more vivid colors in scenes with bright greenery, red lights, or a rich blue sky.

By design, it is similar to Mini LED: there is a controllable backlight with dimming zones behind the matrix, but here the light can be more precisely adjusted not only in brightness but also in the color spectrum. Note that different manufacturers use their own names for similar technologies: Samsung — Micro RGB, TCL and Hisense — RGB-Mini LED, Sony — True RGB, LG — Mini RGB.
