Pepper extract

— an extract obtained from various varieties of hot peppers (in particular, chilli and cayenne). The main active ingredient of such extracts is capsaicin — a substance that gives pepper its pungency. Capsaicin has a pronounced thermogenic effect (see "Effects on the body") and reduces appetite, while it does not have a stimulating effect, and it does not increase blood pressure and pulse.
