In 2022, the Danish brand SteelSeries has updated its Artics line of gaming headsets with 3 brand new models from the Artics Nova series. They all support combo connectivity and feature new custom drivers that deliver clear, natural, and spacious sound across the entire frequency spectrum, making them perfect for use as full-fledged music headphones. In the updated series, Arctis Nova 3 occupies an intermediate role and belongs to the middle class.
One of the charms of the model is its omnivorousness - the manufacturer claims official support for Windows-based PCs, stationary Playstation 4/5 and Xbox One/Series S/X consoles, as well as the Nintendo Switch portable set-top box. For this, a connection is provided using a 3.5 mm audio cable or USB-A / USB-C adapters. To emphasize the status of the device, each bowl was equipped with a dual-zone RGB backlight with a color palette of 16.8 million colors.
The headset is a closed full-size headset with an adjustable headband and swivel ear cups. ComfortMAX headband with comfortable padding and 4-position headband width adjustment strap distributes weight evenly for a comfortable fit. The fabric trim of the AirWeave ear cushions creates a comfortable microclimate for the ears, and the outer soft-touch coating of the plastic cups looks interesting and presentable. A directional microphone with ClearCast 2 intelligent noise-canceling technology delivers clear voice while you play. The microphone is made retractable, it can be hidden inside the case and used as classic on-ear headphones for movies and music.

This model has a significant disadvantage: when connected via USB (and USB-C) at a comfortable volume level, the sound *squeaks (makes very unpleasant noises)*. This can be fixed by enabling the *listen to your own microphone* function (meaning you'll hear yourself and everything around you twice).
