It is the entry-level model of the 2017 PNY Quadro P-Series line. It is positioned as a product of the basic price category, focused on professional use as part of specialized workstations. Used to speed up rendering in CAD/CAM viewports when working with complex detailed models.

Fully compatible with Autodesk Inventor, Dassault Systemes CATIA, SolidWorks, Siemens NX and PTC Creo. The anti-aliasing algorithm up to 64x FSAA significantly reduces the effect of jaggedness and roughness in the image, ensuring high realism of scenes. The PNY Quadro P400 graphics card can be used to solve computational problems of mathematical modeling and processing high-resolution multimedia content (UltraHD/4K/8K).

30-bit colour depth (10 bits per channel) provides billions, not millions, of colour variations for rich, vibrant images with the widest dynamic range. Officially certified for Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2017 video editing software. Dedicated NVENC encoding engine for H.265 (HEVC) video provides high performance video encoding/decoding. Any of the three DisplayPort 1.4 interface ports is capable of operating at a resolution of 5120x2880 at a screen frequency of 60 Hz. Three monitor configurations are supported.
