One of the most affordable motherboards based on the top chipset of the 2017 model year Intel Z270 with LGA 1151 socket. Compatible with 6th and 7th generation Intel Core i7/i5/i3/Pentium/Celeron processors based on Skylake microarchitecture Kaby Lake. It features a reinforced processor power subsystem (all components of the converter circuits comply with Military Class 5), excellent overclocking abilities and a memorable bright design using LED backlighting.
The board is positioned as a relatively affordable platform for assembling high-performance home and gaming configurations with powerful discrete video cards (including high-performance multiGPU systems using 2-Way AMD CrossFireX technology). MSI Z270 TOMAHAWK motherboard supports all kinds of overclocking of K-series processors and is able to increase the effective frequency of RAM up to 3800 MHz.
The total maximum capacity of DDR4 memory modules can be up to 64 GB, which is more than enough for any gaming configuration or home system. You can connect two high-speed M.2 drives (up to 32 Gbps) and six traditional SATA3 SSD or HDD drives. The 7.1-channel Realtek ALC892 audio codec with optical output is used for sound processing and output, and the integrated Intel I219V controller is responsible for supporting fast network connections. The board is equipped with 16 USB ports, including 2xUSB 3.1 Gen2 (1x Type-C) and 8xUSB 3.1 Gen1.
