One of the relatively affordable gaming motherboards with an AM4 processor socket and an AMD X470 chipset. It is an upgraded version of the successful and well-balanced 2018 model MSI X470 GAMING PLUS. It differs from it by the full support of all processors with the Zen2 microarchitecture without the additional operation of updating the BIOS microcode. Positioned as a mid-range product designed for operation with AMD Ryzen 3/5/7/9 processors of the first, second or third generation based on Matisse/Pinnacle Ridge/Summit Ridge cores, APUs with integrated Radeon Vega (Raven Ridge/Picasso) and low-cost CPU Athlon Zen (Raven Ridge).
The MSI X470 GAMING PLUS MAX motherboard features a reinforced 10-phase CPU power subsystem with VRM heatsinks. Supports basic and advanced overclocking functionality, suitable for long-term operation of the system in the overclocking mode of its key components. Suitable for assembling high-performance gaming systems and multiGPU configurations using 2-Way AMD CrossFireX technology.
Supports the installation of 4 DDR4-2933 memory modules with a total capacity of up to 64 GB (including those with support for AMD Memory Profiles technology). Equipped with two full-speed M.2 ports and six SATA3 connectors. With the Realtek 8111H network controller, it handles network traffic perfectly, while the Realtek ALC892 eight-channel HDA codec provides analogue and digital optical signal output.
