The expressive monitor from the ROG Strix gaming squad is remarkable both externally and technically. The projection of the ROG logo on the surface of the table looks especially impressive, the intensity of the glow of which can be “twisted” in the settings. In addition, the RGB lighting system is applied at the back, which allows you to highlight the background behind the monitor. The Asus XG27VQ uses a 27-inch curved VA panel with a curvature radius of 1.8 metres (1800R). This is an 8-bit solution with an aspect ratio of 16:9, a display resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and a response time of 4 ms. The maximum refresh rate of the screen reaches 144 Hz, and the model supports Adaptive-Sync adaptive synchronization technology (aka AMD FreeSync). The monitor rests on a massive “leg” with the a...bility to adjust in height (within 10 cm) and tilt angles (from -5° to +20°), instead of using a stand, the model can be hung on the wall using a 100x100 mm VESA mount. The monitor is connected to a computer via DVI-D, Display Port or HDMI interfaces.

game monster

Asus ROG STRIX XG27VQ is a 100% gaming monitor with an unusual backlight, aggressive design and a “fast” matrix. As befits a gaming monitor, the Asus ROG tries to look like an alien from another galaxy that has landed on your desk on a massive, propeller-like tripod.

Signature Aura Sync lighting

The “out of this world” feeling is complemented by the Light Signature backlight hidden in the tripod, which projects the Asus Rog logo onto the table, and the Aura Sync light ring, which illuminates the space behind the monitor in time with what is happening on the screen. If you have other Asus devices (such as a mouse or graphics card) with Aura Sync support, then their backlight can be synchronized into one light show.

Connect

Under the rear decorative cover you can find video outputs: HDMI, DisplayPort and DVI-D. Next to them is a standard 3.5 mm audio output to connect headphones or speakers directly to the monitor. But for some reason Asus engineers decided not to add a USB port.

Perfect for gaming VA matrix

Now about the most important thing. At the heart of the ROG STRIX XG27VQ is a curved 27-inch VA matrix with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. The maximum refresh rate is 144Hz, which improves fluidity and minimizes display lag.

Smooth frame transition

As a gaming monitor, ROG STRIX supports Asus' Extreme Low Motion Blur technology, which allows this monitor to deliver a clearer image when displaying dynamic scenes in PC games. In addition, there is support for AMD FreeSync.

GameVisual colour profiles

Other gaming features include a set of GameVisual colour profiles. If in conventional monitors the brightness, contrast and gamma settings are divided into standard "Video", "Games" and "Work", then GameVisual offers several colour profiles for different game genres.
