A high-performance gaming router for creating high-speed wireless and wired networks with low latency in urban apartments, private homes, and small offices. The model belongs to the AX3000 class devices, providing support for the Wi-Fi 6 standard, Ethernet port aggregation with Link Aggregation, and can operate in seamless Asus AiMesh networks. At the heart of the wireless router is a quad-core Broadcom BCM6756 processor with a clock speed of 1.7 GHz.
Operating at a carrier frequency of 2.4 GHz, the theoretical wireless signal transmission capacity can reach up to 574 Mbps, and at a frequency of 5 GHz — up to 2402 Mbps. Achieving these metrics in practice is expected when using client devices supporting MIMO 2×2:2 mode, wide channels (160 MHz), and OFDMA modulation with 1024-QAM. For wired connections, the router features a WAN port with a 2.5 Gbps capacity, four gigabit LAN ports (including one interface with special priority for gaming traffic), one USB port (for creating a network data storage or connecting an LTE modem). The device includes proprietary gaming modes: Game Port, Game Accelerator, Mobile Game Mode, OpenNAT, and Multiple VPN Connection. The package is complete with advanced QoS features and the AiProtection Pro information security system.

I bought it in September during a promotion, and the main criteria for choosing was Mesh - which only works properly with Asus (without any hassle). Correct Mesh, the best hardware for the money (enough for about five years), significantly improved coverage, especially at 5GHz, convenient firmware updates. None. I use it for a smart home, with more than 20 devices constantly connected to the network, downloading torrents, watching 4K movies from the home server, and playing games. It has never let me down. I connected a ZTE MF833U1 USB modem with a 4G SIM card, and combined with a charging station, there is always internet, even during a blackout. Very fast router for a large number of devices with huge customization options. Upon first power-on, I couldn't connect; it turned out I needed to download the app and connect using the QR code on the back panel for setup. Bought it, struggled for a week, and returned it. Lots of settings, but I simply couldn't achieve stable performance. Interestingly, when connecting an external HDD, one of the two access points disappeared. That's nonsense) Not found Problems with the router's power supply. Poor performance with USB. Media server and other additional features from the description do not work well and seem to be added just for show. |
