i've been using it for 2 months, here's what I can say. I'm fully satisfied, the chip is purely for gaming. I configured the curve, overclocked memory to 6000 CL30, reduced TDP to 80 watts, with boost up to 5450 MHz. If you compare it with its competitor, the i5-13600K, then Intel is more appealing in work tasks and synthetic benchmarks due to its smaller cores. However, it's a dead-end platform, while AM5 will still be viable for at least another 3 years. Efficiency, boost to 5450MHz without overclocking, future platforms, L3 cache 32MB. High temperatures (can be reduced with a curve and a few button presses in BIOS), lousy memory controller (memory above 6400 won't run), basically no overclocking, all you might get is 5500, and even that's not stable. |
A decent processor to start with AM5. In terms of performance, it surpasses the power-hungry AM4 (or is sometimes equal to it), but is much cheaper and has long-term potential on AM5. The CPU runs quite hot, so you'll need to pair it with a good air cooler and quality thermal paste. With a Frozn A410 and the included paste, it reaches up to 78°C under stress (in stock mode, without undervolting or curve adjustments). I got it alongside a 5060, which is considered an ideal match. Test results are in the photo; on low presets in CS2, for example, it can reach 700+ FPS, and in competitive modes, it's consistently over 400+. - price (ideal candidate when upgrading from AM4 or previous Intel generations) - handles all modern games and can fully support a wide range of graphics cards (up to 4070ti/4080) - easily supports 2K gaming and 4K (with modern GPUs) - can work smoothly without undervolting with air cooling (from 200-220 TDP) - not really |

AMD AM5 Platform
The AMD Ryzen 5 7500F is a six-core processor built on the new Zen 4 microarchitecture and is one of the most affordable chips in the Raphael family. Unlike its predecessors, it supports the AMD AM5 hardware platform, works exclusively with DDR5 standard RAM, and supports the PCIe 5.0 data bus. The availability of this processor is explained by the fact that it is presented in an OEM version without an integrated graphics card.
6 physical Zen 4 cores
Inside the Ryzen 5 7500F are 6 physical cores of the Zen 4 series, operating at a nominal frequency of 3.7 GHz, with the ability to overclock to 5 GHz using turbo boost. The transition to the new architecture allowed to increase the volume of the third-level cache to 32 MB. The declared heat dissipation is 65 W, but under high load the processor can heat up, which requires more powerful cooling than a standard fan.
Solid single-core performance
The key feature of the transition to the new architecture was a significant increase in performance per core. Depending on the load, the Ryzen 5 7500F demonstrates an average advantage of 25% compared to Ryzen 5 chips of previous generations, and in some cases the gap can reach 40%. With high-quality cooling and desire, the Ryzen 5 7500F can be overclocked to the level of the senior Ryzen 5 7600 model.
