Gas control
— the presence of gas control in the design of the oven. Gas control is an automatic safety system that turns off the gas supply to the oven burner when the flame goes out. Without such a shutdown, the gas will accumulate in the working chamber and gradually escape beyond it, which can lead to the poisoning of people or an explosion due to the slightest spark. Gas control avoids such tragic consequences.Note that this function is more important for ovens than for hobs: the oven burner is usually hidden from view, and it is not easy to monitor the presence of a flame on it.
