Synthesizers with sequencer

 

— as the name suggests, this function allows you to record music played on the synthesizer. In this case, most often the MIDI format is used for recording, which makes it possible not only to save parts and transfer them to other devices, but also to “convert” them to another timbre (only the number of the pressed key plus the duration and pressing force are recorded in MIDI, but the timbre during playback, you can select at your discretion). Also note that the functions of the sequencer may provide additional features for working with recordings — for example, their overdub and mixing. The specific functionality, usually, depends on the general level of the synthesizer, it is most extensive in workstations (see "Type"), which were originally intended for recording.
