Flying V

— guitars that copy the Gibson Flying V are an instrument of a rather unusual shape, with a body resembling the plumage of an arrow (or the letter V, hence the name). Traditionally, two humbucking pickups are used (see “Pickup Diagram”), most models have fixed bridges (see the relevant paragraph). There are no cutouts on the body — there is simply nowhere to make them, the neck turns out to be almost completely open to the fingers anyway.
