Bass guitars
Bas-guitar
— electric guitars that sound in the bass register and are used primarily as an instrument to provide rhythm (in combination with drums). Bass strings are significantly thicker than guitar strings; in a classical bass there are 4 of them, they are tuned to the same notes as the 4 lower strings of a conventional guitar, but an octave lower. However, there are also more strings (see the relevant paragraph). Another external feature of bass guitars is the increased length of the neck (and, accordingly, the scale). Note that, in principle, such an instrument is not played with chords — only by notes.bas-guitar | clear | Save List |
