When genlocking to incoming video, the SPG-812 chassis will have either an analog SPG-812 (OP/C) or a SPG-812 (OP/D) digital genlock module in slot #2 This module places the timing pulses down the motherboard buss. The SPG-812 (OP/A1) analog black burst module then uses these pulses to horizontal lock the PLL on the module and reset the vertical and horizontal counters within the complex programmable logic devices. This times up all counters by an external reference. The SPG-812 (OP/A) analog black burst module uses three, 2 bit mechanical encoders that give infinite phasing on both the vertical, horizontal and sub-carrier timing. This makes the SPG-812 (OP/A1) an ideal reference generator
