Fishing weight sets

Weight sets

— sets that include several fishing weights at once (see the relevant paragraph). However, “several” in this case often means “several tens”, or even more than a hundred — the smaller the complete weights, the more they are, usually. Speaking about the size, we can distinguish two types of such sets.

The first is microweights in the form of lead pellets with slots for fixing on a fishing line; their weight is measured in thousandths of a gram, which allows you to very accurately adjust the weight of the tackle by setting the desired number of pellets. Note that weights in one set can either have the same weight or vary in weight; in this case, a separate compartment is provided for each "weight category" .. The second option is more expensive, but allows you to more accurately select the weight

The second type of sets is massive (several grams, or even tens of grams) weights, usually of the “cheburashka” type (see “Types of sinkers”), supplied in 20-30 pcs per package. Such weights are usually installed one at a time (although some anglers also use a series connection of several “cheburashkas”), and they are sold in sets for the reasons that many anglers prefer to have a margin in case the hook with the weight breaks.
