Tanto knives
Tanto
— tanto is originally a traditional Japanese dagger; however, in modern knives, it is not the classical form that is most often used, but the so-called "American tanto", with a characteristic angular blade shape. Actually, the blade in such knives is straight or slightly convex almost along its entire length, but closer to the tip it sharply bends upwards, forming a clearly defined angle (Japanese tanto does not have such a break and the blade bends smoothly). The American tanto is distinguished not only by its stylish, “aggressive” appearance, but also by its excellent stability during stabbing (as well as its efficiency when cutting), which led to its wide popularity.Show
