MSI MPG is a relatively new series in the arsenal of the Taiwanese manufacturer MSI. By mid-2023, they released 3 fairly similar jet-black ATX power supplies with an operating power range from 600 to 1000 watts. Most members of this series have an efficiency in the region of 90%, are equipped with detachable modular wires, a comprehensive protection system and an optional 10-year manufacturer's warranty.

As befits high-level products, the MPG family is based on a modern hardware platform using high-quality circuitry with resonant DC-DC converters and Japanese high-temperature capacitors. As a rule, there are basic protective tools on board, including protection against overvoltage, overcurrent and short circuit.

Another feature is the powerful main power line, capable of distributing 80 to 100% of the total power of the power supply. In most models, MSI engineers have abandoned channel separation, so MSI MPG models are perfect for powerful builds with a hot processor and flagship graphics card. At the same time, LLC output current parameters demonstrate high accuracy and stability at almost any load level, which is a big plus for overclocking systems.

A rather quiet and efficient fan with a diameter of 135 or 140 mm on a hydrodynamic bearing is usually responsible for cooling the system. The noise level is within the normal range for 80+ Gold models. The ability to disconnect unnecessary wires and not collect noodles inside the case will come in handy when assembling neat gaming systems with an open viewing window and RGB lighting.
