Trimmers with curved shaft
— the curved shape of the rod allows you to slightly reduce the overall length of the tool; also, a similar design can be convenient in hard-to-reach places where it is not easy to reach with a classic straight bar. At the same time, such a tool has a very limited power — even the most advanced models give out a maximum of 1200 watts. This is due to the fact that in curved rods, a metal cable has to be used to transmit rotation from the engine, which does not cope well with high loads (whereas in straight trimmers this function is performed by a rigid shaft). Thus, this option is relatively rare, and mainly among entry-level units.
