The Slim index in the title describes one of the key differences from the original Playstation 4 — a thinner and more compact body. True to its name, this model is a further development and improvement of the advanced desktop console PlayStation 4, modified to meet the top class for the fall of 2016. One of the most striking practical differences from its predecessor was support for 4K video; this became possible primarily due to a new video accelerator with an almost 2.5-fold increase in performance.
